In the years before the resurrection of Disney from the brand Lucasfilm Games, electronic art was the only license holder for the Star Wars video game. While Star Wars can spread to other developers such as Ubisoft and Quantic Dream, Electronic Arts has not been completed with a license. In fact, no one was finished, because electronic art was announced today that the three new Star Wars matches were in the development of Respawn Entertainment.
New Star Wars Jedi Game in The Works
One game was confirmed in today’s announcement from EA including the next game in the Jedi Star Wars series. While most of us may have taken advanced from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is in work, it is happy to have this confirmation. We are tempted to assume this is a direct sequel from the falling order, but the press release from EA stops confirming it, calling it just “the next game” in the series.
Stig Asmussen, who served as Game Director for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Game, will take that role once again in this new title. Vince Zampella will oversee the three respawn projects, so it looks like he will have his hands full. Unfortunately, details about the next game are not in today’s announcement, so we have no story details or information release information to be shared with you at the time of this writing.
FPS and strategy games on the road too
In addition to the next Jedi Star Wars game, Respawn will also work on the new Star Wars FPS degree and the new Star Wars Strategy game. FPS will be directed by Peter Hirschmann, but according to the theme that day, there is no detail about the contents of the game revealed.
This strategy game is a little more interesting because Respawn will only act as a manufacturer in the title. Development will be handled by the reactor bit, which is a newly launched studio led by Greg Foertsch. Foestsch previously served as Art Director at XCOM: Unknown enemy and XCOM 2, but it is not known whether this Star Wars strategy game will offer gameplay similar to the XCOM series.
Electronic art is confirmed today that all of these games have been in development, even though they remember that the press release was short in detail, we guessed that they were all at the initial stage. It should be noted that Respawn employs for these projects, so if you are a developer, artist, or designer, it is probably not a bad idea to give the RESPAWN opening role.
This is a pleasant time for the Star Wars video game fans, because there are many new titles on the road. We not only have three matches from this Electronic Arts, but there are also remake of the old Republic of Knights in works in Aspyr and a game called Star Wars Eclipse in developing in Quantic Dream.
Above all, Ubisoft worked on the Star Wars game open itself, while Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga approached the release after years of development. We will notify you when EA shares more about this new Star Wars title, so stay here.
